New Members Now Required to Verify E-mail Addresses

All new registrations will not be complete until the member verifies their e-mail address. After they register, they will be sent an e-mail containing a link they must click to verify. Sadly, this is the result of recent spam. I'd hate to inconvenience potential members who are truly interested in this site, but this spam is getting out of hand, and from a staff member's point of view, is flat out annoying and frustrating. Hopefully after this wave of spam dissipates, I'll turn this option off.

I don't think that's an inconvenience. Many sites do this, I'm sure new members will understand. I think it's a great idea, hopefully it will make for less work for you wonderful staff members! :)

Dave since they seem to be able to verify via email what about having an image show up w. a pw that you have to put in in order to register

I noticed they were all signing up with the same e-mail domain (web.de), so I added that domain to the black list of e-mail addresses.
