Full Time Camp Employment

Hey guys just wondering is ther any type of job u can do at camp all year round ? im jumping the gun a bit her :P as ive not yet been to cmap but my best mate has and quite frankly hes practicaly begging to move to th eus :p was just wonderign if ther is jobs at camp all year round on some level ?

Without camp experience it's going to be hard to find a job at camp. What are you looking to do?

if anyone knows of any full tiem camp jobs out there i would love to know cause i have 10 years under my belt and i would be in heaven if i could find a full time job at a camp

Many Outdoor Education Centres hire full year staff. Staff do summer camp as well as fall, winter and spring day and overnight programs.

There are also centres in the US that are theraputic recreation centres / residential treatment centres. They hire staff to do the recreation (camp) portion of the program.

Or, you could be a professional camp director like me

hmm full time soudns fun :P just we dotn really have a camp culture over her in UK so not really sure hwo the whole thign works tbh :P in terms of employment i mean :D

Or a youth programmer like me. I am a full-time hired staff at a congregation and am responsible for all of the carnivals, concerts, youth programs, volunteers and fun stuff for the synagogue.

Hey James!

Being in the UK you could become one of those backpacking tour guides! When I was backpacking through Scotland, I went on a Jo-Jo tour with MacBackpackers (I think they are out of Edinburgh) and the tour guides had this fun, sort of camp culture amongst themselves.

It's not quite the same as camp, but you would still get to tell stories, sing silly songs and play games. And you get to hop on and off fun looking buses.
