View Full Version : Should we expand?
I want everyone's opinions on this. Do you think we should expand our audience? I'm not sure if it would make a huge difference, but it might worth a try anyway. Should we try adding a section for parents to come and ask general questions about camp? Do you think this would work? Is it worth giving it a try or would it just be a flop? I want your opinion!

Dave, in all honesty. I would say no. I happen to like that I don't have to censor myself in case a parent or camper comes on the site. We happen to have something really special here, in that we are all in the same boat. I think that many of the threads and posts are the equivalent to being "internal use only". I think it should stay that way

I think TalkCamp.com should stay as it is :)
There are all sorts of places for parents to get camp info and to ask questions. There are very few places for camp counselors/staff to do the same.
This has become a great place to share ideas, concerns, ask questions, get advice when requested and ask for reality checks when needed.
Just my twocents. :)

I feel the same way as runrachrun and tajarbud. I like that it's JUST camp staff. Most (decent) camps offer that parents can ask any questions they wish, anyways.

i agree. if you want to make another site for parents i think that would be fine but don't make it so they can easily find this one. its good that it's just staff.

I have to say all the staff on this site are right.. I don't think that it would be a bad idea to start up a page for information for parents. I know that they can look at this site if they want to and see what we type. I think that my vote is this site stays for the staff!
