I saw this posted on an LJ community, and it gave me the idea to post it here. I thought there was already a thread about it here, but apparently there isn't.

Anyway, does your camp do a spirit week? What are the different themes each day?

Our camp does do a spirit week. It's a camp-wide event, but I think the winners (a boy bunk and a girl bunk) are only in each division, not camp-wide. Some of our themes include: Wacky Wednesday (always on a Wednesday), sports day, clash day, hat day, and some others. They change it up a little each year with the themes, but some of them remain each year (like Wacky Wednesday).

I've actually never really participated in our spirit week, but I think I might do it this year if some other counselors do it too. I can't recall if any counselors really do it at our camp (I know camp directors and the important people do it). Well, if I do decide to do it this year I'll be sure to post some pictures of myself!

So does your camp do anything like this?

We don't have spirt weeks but each week has a theme and on friday night for dinner you dress up according to theme. This year the themes are Indian(always 1st week),circus, hollywood, music city(tho i think this is too similar too hollywood and not sure my costume for the two weeks will vary much),hawaiian, harry potter and wild west. Also we have like random theme lunches like monks lunch, prom dress lunch, backwards(once we had a whole backwards day...it was really really confusing...with evening activity in the morning,chaos!),gangster...etc!!

um. i think that every week at my camp is spirit week haha. we're a uniform camp and we have to wear that each day so we're always showing camp spirit! and we sing and cheer at every single meal, even every breakfast, and we say spirit is the most important thing we do!

We only have week long sessions, so we don't do spirit week. The last supper at camp is always themed though.

We do different things every day! The kids love it.
