If you had a band, what would you call it? What music would they play?
I think I'd have a punk band called 'Hot Sick down your neck'!!

I would have a hyper rock bank with violins and bass and guitar (elec. and acous.) and drums and a saxophone/bass clarinet, and we would be called 'See Dee?'.
Good question, Simon!
I have no idea what name we would have. But I'd love to start a band that just covers either Boston or Bruce Springsteen songs, as they're my favorite two bands/artists. The reason I'd do a cover band is because I've heard music kids in my school write.... Not very talented people. I'm not saying that I could do any better, I'm just saying that we'd be better off with a cover band.
If I was in a cover band for those two bands, my guess would be I'd sing, even though I'm not the greatest singer in the world. If not singer I'd either learn guitar for the Boston one or sax for the Bruce band.

Ooh! I'd probably be lead singer too, as I don't play an instrument (except rudimentary bongoes!)
If I were a jazz troupe, I'd probably call us 'Lawnmower Races'

Oh I wish I could be in a band. I can't do much of anything when it comes to music. I think that I would have to name my band "Please don't sing anymore!"

That's really sad! Are HS Bands really big in the US? Where did you go?

Ya they're pretty much a big deal. If you've never seen a really good marching band you should watch a DCI (Drum Core International i think) show sometime, it's amazing. The people in them get really close because you spend so much time out of school together. My 5 best school friends were in band with me and all 6 of "The Group" are moving out of the area for college so I'm going to miss them a lot. We went down to Austin for the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition. Then down to Schlitterbahn for a day of fun! It was a great last trip! AND I didn't get stuck in the bathroom... but that's a completely different story lol.

God, I've got piles of possible-band-names. It's all what my sister and I talk about in the car. >.<
My favorites: Six Billion Bridges, Thinking a Lot About Penguins, Codie Deaddog and Volcano Mouse. SBB would be some sort of indiepop, verging on the sound of the New Pornographers, and they would have a regretable number of tamborines. TALAP and Codie Deaddog would be surlier and a touch more punk, and Volcano Mouse would be surreal, funky, and almost tangoish.
Unfortunately, my band-naming skillz outweigh my actual music skillz. Alas!

hehe 'Thinking A Lot About Penguins' would be such a good name for an indie band.

Those are ace names! Can 'Thinking a lot about Penguins' and 'Hot sick down yer neck' do a collaboration?

Of course! It would involve lots of drama and squabbling in the recording studio and over the watermelon that the Thinking A Lot About Penguins bass player has to have, but it would end up topping the charts anyway. :D

Sounds excellent!
We will insist on our mute orangutan gets a long solo, but ends up flinging effluence around the studio...
