I leave tomorrow for my camp. There is no real reason for this post other then to release some of the excitment I'm feeling right now. This is also a good way to avoid packing!
Hope everyone has an awesome summer and I'm sure we'll have tons to talk about when we all get back on here in September.

I think I know what you're talkin about here. are they the ones that you put all your stuff in and then can suck all the air out with a vacuum or something? I've never used them, but that seems like they wouldn't work too well for you. Maybe I don't know what you're talkin about though. lol

Have a great summer Gremlin_c!!
Clarabelle- Would you have a vacuum available to repack these bags with? That's one problem I could see arising with them.

Try somewhere like milletts or safari, they may have them or failing that Lakelands- they have everything! (presuming of course that you would be shopping in the UK or on line)

the ones i have seen in boots ( big pharmacy chain over here) dont use a vacume but istead have a one way valve so when u roll the package the air gets expelled but cant get abck in i have used the vacume ones before i would loved to take them but not sure if camp vacum would fit ( or if theres still to may bats in there - didnt know they could be used for that) so was wondering if anyone had used these non vacum ones also any other space saving tips would be great!!!!

clarabelle,
If I were you, if you're having problems with packing now, I wouldn't bother getting a vacuum packer, but would repack less things: you will buy loads of stuff when you get there, which will make coming back really difficult! Either that, or buy a new backpack! I've had to buy two suitcases over the years!

yeah, I ended up boxing up a bunch of stuff and getting another counsellor to lug it back to Canada with him (he was driving, I was flying). I got it a few weeks later when I was in TO. You will defiently but much more stuff.
