Does anyone else cringe everytime they see that Bacardi commercial where they're sitting round the campfire and the girl dips her flaming marshmallow into a guys glass of Bacardi?
I have images of flaming marshmallows flying around campfires because of that stupid commercial.... I think that all of those actors should lose their roasting stick privileges! lol

haha no but i think thats kind of funny...b/c no one is going to break out a bottle of bacardi at camp so we really don't have to worry about it.

LOL... well I certainly hope not!! but can't you see it with koolaid? or just in general.... I have issues with flaming marshmallows to begin with... they make scary/sticky projectiales. And kids tend to notice their marshmallow is on fire and instantly try to wave it around in the air to put it out. It's one of my campfire rules that they can't do that, now this commercial is giving them ideas... grrr.... lol maybe I'm a touch crazy... :P

I've never seen that commercial..and I hope half my dorm never does...those ideas are the last thing they need.

haha yeah, but wasn't the point of the commercial that the flaming marshmallow set the bacardi on fire? or i could totally be missing the point...b/c that wouldn't happen w/koolaid. lol.

I think it's a horrible commercial! Dipping a flaming object into something flammable? But maybe the al.% isn't enough to be flammable. I don't know, and I'm not willing to try.

We don't do marshmallows or anything over a fire at my camp anyways, so it's not of great concern for me!

We don't get to roast mashmellows at camp either. I think along time ago we may have but at some poitn somebody decided giving kids sticks and marshmellows and telling them to stick it in the fire isn't the safest camp activity.

we do. we're all about the smores (which I had never had until I went to camp). And with or without a commerical, there is always some kid who decides to use a flaming marshmellow as a flare or something equally creative, disobeying the "the first rule in smore making is no flaming marshmellows"talk and then they get banished. Well, not so much banished, just they aren't allowed to be near the campfire anymore and smore making privledges are gone (a counsellor will give them a smore).
