Well since Wicked got a thread i thought Rent should too..:) Any who I 'm going to see it Friday and couldn't be more excited , especially because they are 3rd row center..... so post about rent of course... thoughts.....ect ect...:D

rent is one of my absolute faves. actually here's the order of my top 5 faves:

1. wicked
2. rent
3. avenue q
4. spelling bee
4. hairspray

The stage production is ace! I really want to see the movie though.

I love Rent, I haven't had the oppurtunity to see the theater production, but I own the movie and LOVE it! Plus I have heard both soundtracks and I have to say that La Vie Boeheme is my favorite song!

I really like the one where Roger and his roomie (names gone blank!) have a fight... It's all about him being an observer and having to outlive Roger, it's called Halloween...

roger's roommate is mark, collissimon. haha. and i love that song too...it's like "they say mark lives for his work..." haha.

I love Rent. I actually watched it again last night for the gazillionth time. I haven't had a chance to see it on stage, but I would love to. I love La Vie Boehme, Take me or Leave me, and Life Support. But really, I love all the songs!

I've seen Rent on the stage 4 times, and saw it in the theatre 3x, and then bought the dvd to save money. I am actually friends with a guy who knew Jonathan Larson while he was in the midst of writing Rent. "Gordon" who is played by Tom Everett Scott (in the movie) was a good friend of my friend... sigh.

So i haven't had time to post lately ...... but heres why ....(sorry this is so long) This weekend i went to see rent with friends at the dupont theatre (really great show)got up at 4:30 am an left at 6 to go to Pratt in brooklyn (where i'm going for my last half of art school)on the drive to an from i tried to sleep/ study for an upcoming final. While i was their i had to take care of filling out papers and take notes on the tiffany designed library interior for a report i need to do. On they way back we hit major trafic an i went to a party at 11 pm where the cast an crew of rent were. I made friends with the merchendising guys and helped out at the double shows on sunday , hung out with them till 1am and passed out on the couch in my apartment.... long weekend to say the least. But enough of my rambling:) for now :D

It was but now i'm trying to catch up from all the excitement an running around.
I excited though because Nancy the house manger an I are going to visit them when they are in philly later this month.(right now there in Dc)
