We use 'Flanders' in place of other NCA words. At this point I'm in the habit of using it all year round.

Wow I thought chillax was just something from my town (I've never heard that word at my camp though). Whenever I talk to other people they say they never heard of it. :P

I think the best thing about camp is the meshing of accents and words that come from specific areas. Everyone gets to know what they mean, and use them on a day to day basis

We had a counsellor one year that pronounced 'taco' like 'tay-co' and it became this big 'camp word'

we had a councelor who was deathly allergic to peanuts...like if she was in the room with one that was no good. so we were always asking if things were "popples" friendly. popples was her camp name.

something else we did was when talking about your significant other we just shortend it to sigo that we we could talk and the girls not know what we were talking bout

oh yeah we also had scherman showers...you all know how sometimes you just miss taking your shower for the day well you can always take a scherman shower and that was just jumping in the poole and your good to go

thats all i can think of for now

One summer, the word of the season was "frat-tastic." It was the biggest compliment you could get that year. The best part was when a parent touring the camp to see if his son wanted to attend the next summer told our director that "this place is frat-tastic."

Needless to say, a lot of our staff were/are members of fraternities/sororities.

These aren't words exclusive to our camp, but they were said a whole lot during the summer. It was yours truly who started them (with no intent for people to use them so much).

"Doubt it."; "Huh?"; "Whaaat?"; and my favorite, "Not cool, dude."

Thats funny Dave because I often would tell my campers "Thats not cool".... We used awesome alot, being in New England region I used wicked from time to time, a bit divvy or cupa tea I picked up from one of the Brits, y'all from a counselor from Alabama, "thats not MOL apropriate"- spelling out the letters of course, an once at dinner on a night off I said a sentence in conversation with a Maine/Boston accent ...it was so funny cause it came from nowhere an I didn't try it.
