The same summer I worked at band camp there was a science camp running for 3 weeks of it. One week I requested to be put on the science camp instead of the band camp because they were doing a C.S.I theme.
It was so cool! (lol ok I MAY be a bit of a nerd... :P)
At the beginning of the week we were having our big meeting so the kids could find out their colour groups and stuff and towards the end someone came running inside the room saying that someone had just collapsed... we let all the kids go out and see... she had been 'rushed to the hospital' but there was a chalk outline and photo's... the police wanted our help.
The rest of the week we spent examining the evidence we found at the 'crime scene' and at the end of the week we figured out who did it and why.. then we had a kangroo court. With the head of distance education (the summer program is run through the distance education program at the university) as the judge. The kids got to be 'witnesess' about what they had seen at the crime scene the day it happened and 'expert witnesess' about the evidence they examined.
It was really neat, the kids were really smart too!
And they each got a laptop to use for the week, so they were fans of that too.

That sounds like a fun camp. I want to space camp when I was younger and had a great time!

We do CSI Camp at my summer camp as well. Anyone else out there doing educational camps? I'd love to share program ideas?
