Hi, I'm new to the website. I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be talking about, but it told me to introduce myself... So here goes, I guess...
I'm on staff at scenic YMCA Camp Pinewood. This summer will be my 6th at that camp and my 2nd as a counselor. I spend nearly all my time at the waterfront, either guarding or teaching swimming and boating classes. Melk and I have big aspirations and hope to kickstart the first "Pinewood Swim Team" this summer (official swim caps and all). As far as cabins go, I vastly prefer the older cabins to the younger, mostly because I was never a camper in the younger cabins. I'd rather deal with gossip than puke. I get REALLY into Capture the Flag. I love camp food, except sometimes the eggs... sometimes.
Outside of camp, I'm a golfer/swimmer/bandgeek. I'll be a freshman at Purdue in the fall, majoring in becoming one staunchy, uppity beyotch of a corporate lawyer, with a minor in making the french language sound pretty, and hopefully lifeguarding work-study.
That's pretty much me in a nutshell. I really love camp and what it can do for kids that need a place where they can be themselves. :)
