This one is for all the GS out on the board...
If you are interested in checking out the proposed realignment coming down from National, check out the map and document one of the GS leaders on my e-mail list posted. She obtained it from someone who took it off the Online Council Network. If it is no longer there when you go to download it, PM me with your e-mail and I'll send it your way.
No surprises in Massachusetts - exactly what I thought would happen.

No, I think Columbia River is taking in Santiam and the edges of a few of the others.

Oh maybe so... it looked the same at first, but I think you are right. Columbia River is taking ooovvvveeeerrrr! Which reminds me, I just found my Thinking Day 1990 t-shirt AND the picture I sent you on the ACA board way back of my Arrowhead shirt. Columbia River council is absorbing Santiam and luring me back, as well. How funny.

BUMP. So what has happand as a result of Realigment in your area.
My council is now Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore. Still got the previous two councils day camps. Facilities and Camp Services is now it's own department. This is the 1st full program year in this mode as merger was official July 1st 07.

I'm from the upstate in SC and I think we were one of the first, if not the first to realign. There were a few bumps in the road,as there will be with anything new, but all in all it went well.

Wow a lot of other GSs on here.
My council at home isn't changing much at all. The one I work for is combining with 4 others so we'll see what happens because of that. I think they're taking the camps out of a couple of the other councils. They're planning on using the money from those camps to buy 600 acres for a new camp for the new council, still I feel bad for those whose camps are closing.

I was so scared realignment would change things or make my camp close down. I would have been so sad!
