I'm working on a lesson for a group of high school girls... I want to know (honestly) from the guys... When you see a girl (pretty or not) dressed in really skimpy/immodest clothes, does that attract you to them or not? Why or why not?

It depends... most of the time no just cause either shes wearing clohes she shouldnt be, or showing off that she might be easy to hook up with.

Way back when I was a teenager... The first thought in seeing a girl dressed skimpy/immodest was not that she would someday make a fine mother. The thoughts go straight to sex and not much else. Its probably worth while for girls to know that the guys they meet as a result of dressing like that are probably less likely to be interested in who they are as a person.

I'd say that the least talked about issue with girls is just how frustrating it can be for boys when they see them dressed that way.

Ok...that's a good point. That it's frustrating for guys. Why exactly? A lot of girls I know think guys like it. They do--right? but only because guys are very visual, not because it makes a girl attractive necessarily. But why is it frustrating?

Because a young mans body sees something it wants and can't have it. This would really be the case if he's been raised with a set of morals that teach him sex when your young/unmarried is wrong. Therin lies the frustration. Ultimately its a fight you can't win. I don't care if the girls all wear parkas. The guys will then want to know. Whats under the parka?
What really scares me as a dad is that when girls make themselves look older and "available" it draws the attention of older men as well. I just figure they must not understand that concept. I mean, who wants a creepy old dude oggeling them?
One thing that might help a young woman is to consider who might be a better guy to get to know, the one who would have been first attracted by the way she looked or the guy who actualy wants to get to know who she is.
