Homeless Provider for Women with children age 12 and under. I am going to teach 3 one hour life skills classes. Any ideas???

I was thinking readiness skills including training on the computer. I have to see what if any computers they have.

Each student completes a cover letter and resume.

Mock interviews.

Introduction to the computer first session.

Hope that they all will know basic things so that the second week they can start working on cover letter and resume. Which I would go over how to do at begining of session.

Then third time mock interviews and finish up cover letters and resume.

This is for my issues in womens studies class for service learning.

Good idea... Another thought I had was CPR/Choking for adults, children and babies. YOu could cover this over 3 - one hour sessions...

I don't have the skills to teach that.

That's really cool!

How about facilitating some kind of discussion about being a parent without stable accommodation? Or, looking into the housing situation locally, into ways to get into a more permanent kind of accommodation.

I don't know about N. America, but here you have to have accommodation before you can apply for jobs.
