I've released a new style for the site. You might not see it because I haven't made it default yet. I will though very soon. If you want to check out the new style, go to your User CP: http://www.talkcamp.com/profile.php?do=editoptions. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. The last dropdown box should be for the skins. Select RedOrange (the one you currently use is GreenLeaf). If you see any other skins, don't bother selecting them. They're test skins of the old style and are broken.

Wow, the colours were kinda making my eyes hurt a little, so the first thing I did was switch back to GreenLeaf... before I could even think about reading any posts. It may just be me, though - I tend to be very sensitive to funky colours on webpages.

Yeah I guess the background may be a bit bright. I'll change that.

Hello Dave!

I can't change it  I get the following error when I try to get into my options:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in /home/.declan/dwxii/talkcamp.com/profile.php(2704) : eval()'d code on line 64

I really like the new style. It looks more professional, which I think is nice.

User CP > Edit Options > Messaging & Notification > set default subcription thread mode to "No Email Notification" on the drop down list.

I'm aware of the error and I'm working on it.

That error should be gone and the Edit Options page should be working now. Sorry about that.

I also darked the background on the new style so it's not as bright.

That's OK Dave, thanks for working on it so quickly!

I've changed my skin to the orange one, however none of them have appeared to have changed, and I sometimes get:

Warning: in_array(): Wrong datatype for second argument in /usercp.php(441) : eval()'d code on line 7

Sorry to be a pain!

Dave

I'll look into it.

What style do you get this error on?

collissimon

Only the green leaf, because even though my options says the orange one, it hasn't come up yet.

Hmm that's strange. It works for me. Try selecting Default Forum Style from the list (first option). See if that'll work. If it does it should change you to the RedOrange style.

It is weird! It's still in the green leaf style. Very strange!

I contacted vBulletin about the problem. Let's wait and see what they have to say about it... In the mean time, collissimon, if you want to go back to the new style I can manually change you.

That would be cool... Thanks Dave.

collissimon: I think the problem might be on your end. I'm not saying it definitely is, but I'm thinking it is. I tried changing styles with a test account (I even put in the writers usergroup) and eveything worked fine. Try clearing your cache. (Internet Options -> General Tab -> Delete Files in IE, Options -> Privacy Tab -> Cache Tab -> Clear Cache Now in FireFox). See if that'll work.

What privilages do you have to have to access user pages? I was trying to look at them today and it said i didn't have the proper access level or something to get to that page... but it has always let me before.

Sorry about that. I upgraded the forum software yesterday and I guess it changed those permissions. I'll tell you when it's good to go.

Okay it should be fixed. :) Sorry about that.

That's why I don't like upgrading the forum software. Something always gets messed up.

Ok so I'm still getting daily email updates about certain threads. My options are set to no subscriptions but I can't seem to delate those threads that I've posted in before the changes. Dunno if that makes much sense but I'm not sure what to do!

Dave

Go to your User CP main page (just click the User CP link). The second table on the right lists the threads you're currently subscribed to. (Turning off this feature does not unsubscribe you to those threads.) So just unsubscribe from them.
