your school might not be on facebook yet and that could be why you cant crack it. I know somewher on the home page there is a link for submitting information for your school. Thats what people at my school had to do since we are so tiny we did not get it untill this fall.

Try doing a global search. It's on the menu at the top after you log on. It that doesnt work I dont know what to say.

Hey.... You can only look at people's info if a) they go to your school, or b) you're friends with them. To make someone your "friend" there is a friend request button that will send him/her an email. If s/he accepts you, then you will be "friends" and can look at the page.:)

yeah, you can only look at peoples info if you're friends w/them or they go to your school. i personally like that, its a good security feature.

mm i iwsh you could look at other peoples pictures and like where they went to high school. sometimes ill think its someone but im not 100% sure-- or sometimes i just dont want to friend them but i want to keep tabs on them hahaha. facebook has made me into the ultimate stalker. im sure most of you can agree.

Loofa, I think a lot of people had the same sentiments. They've changed the way Facebook works, so that you can now add both high school and university students. Personally, I wish that they would make it so that you could add people from other universities to your groups (our camp group is so tiny because only like 6 people from my university work at camp)

im so not excitd about HS on facebook! i loved that it was college only and that we didnt have to watch what we put up and no campers to see my drunkie pictures. like seriously- its between 1-4 years until they get into college- why can't they just wait!!!!

i've gotten about 25 friend requests from HS people today and they even wrote on my wall!

I totaly think that facebook is a rite of passage and should only be for college kids. sorry all you highschoolers, but I had to waite till this october to get it and I am a sophmore/freshmen. (took a year off after his).

I totally agree! I sat around for two weeks waiting for my college email address to arrive so I could finally get on facebook. High schoolers should have to wait. Isn't that what myspace is for?

I think I prefer bebo, because you can browse a bit more, I can spend a lot more time looking aimlessly through profiles than I can on facebook!

Ahhh I got my first high schooler friend request today. Thankfully its someone I also know outside of camp through family but now it means the rest are coming. Not a big fan of having to censor but its nessecary sometimes.

One of our counselors is on myspace and had something in her profile about drinking, smokin weed, and gettin laid a lot. Not that I really care what staff do outside of camp but a camper found it and wrote on her wall whining about how she yelled at them for kissing and shes off doing these things and what a hypocrit she is.

Its definitely an issue this days and I think needs to be more covered in staff training. At least at our camp.

I got my first one from a girl that went to my highschool. I just declined her. I feel that if let one highschooler be my friends its not fair to everyone else. So if you are not in college and want to be my friend go threw myspace. I know this may make me seem like the biggest jerk in the world but sometimes I dont want to watch everything I type.

yeah thats true. oy. whatever. its too complicated. even though i'm a counselor i've grown up w/most of them anyway, i was a camper while they were already campers too. and in time they'll be counselors. while they're still in high school. i guess its a lost cause.

theres a girl at my camp that was kicked out a few summers ago for bring alcohol and drinking it(she was like 13 when this happened- so gross) anyway we let her come back last summer and she just requested my friendship on facebook.. this is not the kind of kid i want reading my facebook and getting the impression(at least from me) that its ok to go out and get wasted..seeing as shes a freshmen. definitely rejecting her.
