Do you have any pets? Tell us about them!

We have birds. Currently we have two budgies (parakeets) and one parrotlet. All in all, we've had five budgies. They have their own website, too: http://www.mybudgies.com (http://www.mybudgies.com).

We also have some fish, but they don't get as much attention. I don't understand why though. Our oldest pet is a fish. His name is Sharkles. He's an iridescent shark. His age? He's 13 years old. When we first got him, he was about as long as someone's thumb. Now he's probably about 10 inches long and probably about 8x bigger than when we first got him. No pictures though.

Tell us about your pets.

I was hoping someone would start a thread like this (yes, I'm lazy)! We have 3 cats (2 black ones named Gemini and Isis, and a striped and white one named Chimera), 3 rats (a white one named Roku, a brown and white one named Goblin, and a hairless one named Ammit), a gray and white gerbil named Sylvan, and a couple of fish tanks... My tropical tank has a male betta, 4 cory catfish of various types, and about 8 ghost shrimp, and the goldfish tank has 2 fancy goldfish, one of whom isn't in very good shape right now. I've always wanted a dog, but my mom hates them, so I'll have to wait until I move out. I also consider the horses at camp to be my pets, in a way. ^_^

I have two doggies. Sandy is four years old and she's a mixed dog, but she looks like a Dingo. We just got Pepper a week ago, she six months old and she is an austrailian shepard mix. I love Pepper, but Sandy bugs me. We also have a pond in our backyard and there are all kinds of critters back there, we have snakes, frogs, trantulas and fish in there.

I got a picture of my big fish. It's attached. It might be hard to tell his size based on the picture.

The middle bird looks a lot like my old bird. It's name was Kiwi and that's where my camp name came from! The top one looks like a bird we had as a class pet in 6th grade. One time it flew away and we had like a search team looking for it. After school a couple of guys found it and the news came out and everything. Must have been a slow news day lol.

The top bird actually looks exactly like one of our older birds, who has passed away. For a couple months they were in the cage together. To someone who didn't know them, they would never be able to tell them apart. That's how similar they looked. The patterns on their face and chest were identical. Their personalities were completely different though. The bird pictured is afraid of everything, while the other one was queen of the cage and bossed the other birds around, and wasn't afraid of a hand in her cage!

Awww i love birds. People who say they don't have personalities have obviously never had one for a pet. If i wasn't going off to college in the fall i would totally buy another one. I had a dog until this afternoon, my step mom decided she was allergic so she gave it away. It was sad. Oh well life moves on.

I want to get a bird that can talk. I think that would be so cool!

Here's a picture of my lovely Lucy- I'd put up some really great pics of her like watching tv and jumping for balloons but I don't have them on this computer. Oh well- she's still super duper cute!

It's so true. Our birds couldn't be more different. One was sociable (he would come to the front of the cage when people were in the room like he was joining in the conversation), one thought she ruled the cage, two of them are scared of everything, one loved to chirp and have a good time, etc. They're all so different.

By the way, I like your dog loofa. :D
