Got My Camp Application!

I got my camp application in the mail today! I'm so excited. I love getting mail from camp. It's filled out already :P. I just have to mail it back. The letter said I'll have to go for an interview. Who knows if I will though. Last year I got that same letter and I never had to. But I think since I'm going to be a senior counselor I'll have to go for an interview. I remember one of my camp friends (who was a senior counselor) telling me how he had to get re-interviewed before becoming a senior counselor. Well, I'll do whatever it takes. I'm also signing up to get on the list for possible bus counselors. I'll be able to do it this year because I'm working all 8 weeks. Our vacation is after camp this year.

The countdown can begin now because I know that they want me back again! :D

I got mine in the mail yesterday and it went back to them today, filled and ready to go. We all will get reinterviewed, but I highly doubt mine will be formal. Our director has already offered my the position of Program Manager again (and I'm okay with that - I can wait another year or so to move up to AD!) so it is really a formality more than anything. That and I've already worked on the camp brochure and programming, with a programming meeting coming up.

That said, I was still really excited to get it in the mail! :)

Yes congrats! Ive recieved a few emails from my director but i wont actually be getting my application till like January. i hate it because it means i have to wait that much longer to get it. but then again i guess its a good thing because after i recieve the camp package i feel like it should be right around the courner! but its not. whaaaaahhh. i miss camp. haha.

I got my contract and sent it out today.. now I'm just a few days away from the camp video- I know it's soon but I just can't wait!! :-D

I got the call today saying they got my application (and I'm assuming accepted it). They said they'll be in touch in January to set up an interview. After that I'm done. Well even if I don't pass the interview I'll still be working at camp, I just won't be a senior counselor. Nothing wrong with that though.

Dave, I had to smile. I had a meeting last week with my camp director and our Outdoor Manager for the Council. They told me that they had my app and were waiting on my reference. Then they added, with evil grins, that if someone else with the same qualifications applied before they interviewed me - they might have to hire her. I just mockingly glared at them both and said since I was working pro bono right now, I hoped that wasn't so! Lol. I do get to have an "interview" again - but I think mine is more of a "what are we doing this staff".
