The environmental education program I work for is still looking for instructors for our fall season, which starts training in a little over a week. This is a great way to keep working at camp after the summer!
Our instructors take students on hikes, give them tours of the nature center, lead low ropes/team building activities, and lead night hikes, among other things. We work a five day week, with weekends off, and at night, instructors sleep in our staff house while the students are supervised by their chaperones.
You do not have to be a nature expert, just be willing to learn and love camp and working with kids. We can train the right people to be amazing at the education side of things, we just need folks with the right attitude...of course you all know this, you're camp people.
Want to know more? Send me a private message and I can give you all the information you need...I'd love to see some of you at camp this fall!
