Best and worst camp songs?

Ok. I am sure all of our camps have a lot of different songs that we sing. I have found at day camp the songs are much faster paced than at resident camp. So my questions is What camp song do you like the best and on the other had what song do you like the least?

My favorite song is the Beaver Song and everyone at my camp knows it's my song! My least favorite song is prolly Tutti-Ta!

My favorite is Tarzan and my least favorite is Latooche

our songs are all original, written by us. we don't really sing the ones that other camps do. my favorite song is one that is to the tune of "bless the broken road" and my least favorite is probably the one written to the tune of "the mud song"

Hahaha. My favorite two dinging hall songs this summer were Mississippi Mud and The Hippo Song. My favorite two campfire songs were The Gypsy Rover and Marblehead Morning.

My least favorite? Oom Plucky Plucky and The Spirit Song.

My favorite songs are probably desperodo, way down yonder, and jack and jill. My least favorite songs are purple stew, way up in the sky, and my mom gave me....
it was pretty funny this year though because we started singing the song for freash prince. it was so entertaining to hear all the campers sing it. they also sang sponge bob square pants which i hated (i havent ever seen the show and it drives me nuts!!!)

The wee wee song is the worst song ever and the campers always want to sing it...

when i was just a wee wee tot they took me off my wee wee cot and put me on my wee wee pot to see if it could wee or not.

Whoa that sounds wierd! haha. camp songs sing about strange things. like "louise" or all these songs about killing stuff...no wonder some people (who dont go to camp) think its brain washing :)

the worst camp song is the bird song (iga flega flaga as my girls call it) that has the longest name I have ever heard. The kids loved that one.

the best I think is the advark song.

I love the buzzard song. It just came to my camp last year, and wasn't sung (shouted) nearly enough!

Hmm... I don't mind "I'm just a little pile of tin," but when the campers keep adding on verses to eternity, it gets old fast.

We started singing the Moose song this summer and we're pretty much obsessed. It's the best AND the worst!

There was a moose and he drank a lot of juice
The mooses name was Fred and he drank his juice in bed
He drank is juice with care but still he spilled it everywhere.

My new favorite from the summer is Hold a Chicken in the Air. It's the most random song ever. It goes like this:

And Again!

My least favorite, maybe Hermie, just because it's so so long.
A lot of our songs aren't ones I've heard of other people singing, especially a lot of the color war team songs like Tonka.

Oh man, the moose song is huge at my camp... The campers love it, but after at least 3 years of hearing it nonstop, the staff is getting sick of it!

I herd the moose song all summer. All of our younger campers loved it.. I did not by the end of the summer.

My favourite song is Singing in the rain. It's based on the normal version, but is different and has actions.

I don't like the Sylvester song. I think it's because I know it by a different name and a slightly different tune.

Our camp director hates this one. People have been threatened for teaching it in the dining hall.

My least favorite is the Wee wee song because the kids do not stop singing once it has been taught.

My favorite is either the bear song or the music cantor.

I dont think I can name any specific song that I really hate - my camp song peeve is when the same song is sung before and after every meal for an entire session - i wanna should common people we know loads of songs!!!!!!!!!

I totally know what you are saying Smudge! I hate songs that are sung way way way too much! My firend and I are on a mission to bring back some songs we haven't sung in a while- along with learning all the songs in the staff book since we already know most of them!

I love love love The Gypsy Rover! I also love the moose song!

I can't think of one at the moment that I hate, but I will sonn enough!

I heard it for the first time this last summer. The program director sang it while playing her guitar. She sang the verses and we all sang the chorus, although i got pretty good by the end of the summer! I requested it for the staff CD! I love that song!!

It sounds like early in the morning - the version of the chorus I know is completely different from what my current camp sings and i just have to stick cos otherwise i get completely confused!

My best camp song is the Yogi Bear song and my least favorite is the Hippo song because we alwas sing it and sometimes the moose song. And Smudge is right at the camp we work at together last yr, they like to keep repeating the same song over and over. After a while you just don't sing because it is very boring.

Hey thinks alot for that one. We don't always sing the beaver song but you seem to sing it to me all the time. I will have to come up with one that goes with Smudge. You always know how to get someone to smile and laugh.
