Camp Cherith is a year round camp facility that started as a place for Pioneer Girls to hold summer programming. Over the past few years we have begun to expand that vision to include boys in the camp and recently to allow families, churches and civic groups to use the facility in the off season. Our site contains 125 acres of lovely meadows, wooded trails, creeks, a three acre pond and some great fishing!
We are looking for qualified applicants for an awesome summer working at Camp Cherith of Western NY. We are a Christian boys & girls camp located outside the small town of hunt, about 50 miles south of Rochester.
I, Nathan, am in charge of year round maintenance and summer food service. We serve approximately 100 meals at each sitting with a total of 16 meals per week. There will be three cooks on staff including myself.
It is my hope to have a maintenance crew of two, an adult leader and a younger helper. Only the most basic maintenance issues are usually addressed during summer camp. Painting, light repairs, spraying for bees, weedwhacking, pool cleaning, etc.,
If you would like to find out more then drop us an email.
Experience is preferred, but we all have to start somewhere! If you are interested in being a camp counselor please contact Evie White our camp director at auggiewhite@juno.com
If you would like to serve in the kitchen or with maintenance please send me, Nathan Welton, an email at nathanwelton@hotmail.com
