Heard Back

Ok I was just wondering around what time you should hear from your camp that they want you back for next summer. Last summer was my first summer at Sky-Y and I can't wait to go back, but I was just wondering if I should have heard from my camp director yet or not?

Some camp send info in December!! You might want to send you camp director a line just to let them know that you are intrested in comming back!!! Good luck.

It depends on the camp! Mine sent out its letters and applications to returning staff a few weeks ago.

my camp usually sends them out around thanksgiving/new years.

depends on the camp, definitely. but if you wanted you could drop your directors an email and be like "hey, just want to check in with you guys and see how you were doing and thank you for a great summer, i'm looking forward to many more!" if you're confident.

agreed. depends on the camp. i have to let my director now by the first of february if im interested in returning. then they send out the returning staff info. probably so they wont waste paper and setch.

Ok thanks for all the replies. I sent my director an e-mail and he said that they for sure want me back and they will be sending out stuff to all the staff in a few weeks. He also told me that they are working on getting the program that I really wanted to start at my camp going, so yeah!

We were told November/December for returning staff - new staff can already apply on line - but returners have until January to sign for a bonus. I have a job - no one has said what it is, only that it is on the Ad-Staff again. It's been "suggested" that I start thinking about the Ad-Staff song for this summer. Hahaha. We don't even know who is on Ad-Staff, but I get to write the song.

We get welcome letter in early October and contracts in January. But if we want to change our position the process takes a little longer and you don't usually hear what position you've been hired for until late November or early December. :-\ Still waiting..
