Hey all! Everytime I check this site for the last few weeks it has said NO NEW POSTS!! What's happening?? we just deserting it? ;)
Thought I would start this new thread just randomly say what u have been up to or what you are going to be up to in the next month etc especially with it leading up to Christmas!

For me I have been busy doing cover shift work at different local Nurserys and I now nanny a 2 year old every Monday and Tuesday evening which is fun! some days like tomorrow I have a FULL day of work (from 8am till 9pm at 3 jobs) but other days like today I just have my evening nannying!

Ok well look forward to hearing from people!
love Jenny x

I have recently started a new job in a petrol station. Ok, so it is not a career but it will pay for my flight to camp next year!

I am still at college part time and doing a placement in a special needs primary school.

My wee cat Poppy who is two went missing last Tuesday which is awful. I don't think she will be coming back.

awww i'm so sorry to hear about your cat Laura!!
It's good to be earning money what ever you are doing :) I am using my nursery cover work shifts as a stepping stone to the nursery I really want to work at as they have no positions going at the moment!!
Thanks for posting too!! I thought it was dead in here ;) x

Hi

I was going to post a similar thread about a week ago - but me being me complete fogged up and couldn't remember how to start a thread - I think it is the blonde in me.

Sorry about your cat Laura.

I haven't managed to get a job since returning from camp which is really frustrating but that is life - at this rate at least I wont have to quit a job to go to camp next summer.

I have been spending my time traveling up and down to the midlands for job interviews and getting ready for Christmas - I am trying to make as many of my Christmas Presents as possible.

It's been crazy for me over the past few months as my wife just gave birth to 3 babies. That is one of the big reasons that I have not been around. But my family has gone from 2 to 5 in a few months its crazy. I guess I won't have a problem getting campers over the next few years.

Congratulations-guess it feels a lot like camp all year round now!!

I have been working, working and working. Sometimes partying, but mostly working! Having two jobs and studying isnt easy, but probably easier than having three babies!!

I may not seem busy because I work a few hours every day and only have classes on Mondays and Wednesdays. But oh man. Because I only have each class once a week we get twice the amount of work to do and one of my prof.'s who I have for 3 out of my 5 classes doesnt explain things well enough. However, I feel like I finally know more then everyone else in my classes (I always used to feel like the dumb kid in class cause I never understood anything).
Any whoo we all only have 2 more of each classes to do so the work has totally piled up.

I met Shane and Landon from the Real World. That was cool.

Thats just about it. sigh.

I think it sounds busy I completly understand mel :)!
I have another job interview at another nursery on Monday and not sure anymore where I want to work! I guess I will go to interview and see from there before I make crucial decisions!

I made my second payment to CA yesterday so any job i get now will have to respect the fact that I am committed for the summer and will have to work around that.

I moved out from parents house last week!! Have been extremely busy all this week and don't have internet access at home so can only check about once a week at parents house! I have a massive coldsory thing on top lip which hurts when I close my mouth for any purpose :(. Tonight is a Youth awards thing where I get all dressed up in prom dresses etc but I don't feel as excited as previous years! Well better dash off to work! Take care all! Jenny x

Moving house is fun and challenging, but I hate it when I don't have internet access - are you going to get internet at your new place.

I have a cold sore at the moment too. Hope that you have a great evening.

I have been busy teaching biology to my high school students. I teach three levels of 11th grade bio, including AP Bio and a section of 12th grade Marine Bio. Lots of work, but I really love it.

I'm also heading up the new FIRST Robotics team at our school as the point person for the adults. Still working with Girl Scouts - I have 9 adorable Brownies and 10 awesome Seniors. I also show up at various events to volunteer because it's just heaps of fun.

Add in planning a wedding for April 5th, and I'm keeping busy. It'll be so weird sign my name differently this summer!

Sounds like a very exciting life. Congrats on the wedding! Are you planning a traditional one?

I love my brownies - I have nearly 20 of them - and they cover the whole economic spectrum - but they are fun loving and very inclusive of each other.

I have had years were my birthday or christmas money has been spent on boring things like food.

I had a great day - we had single member of my church and the missionaries over during the day - it was great fun - eat loads but not too much - had the best desert - gonna make everyone jealous cos it was baked chocolate cheesecake with fresh strawberries and ice-cream.

Hey everyone. Ive not been up to much.
Well not recently anyway. I came back from America for my second time just 3 weeks ago after visiting my girlfriend for 5 weeks. That was great. Now Im just waiting for the new year to find a job to go back :)
Ive not been on talkcamp much but I know as soon as I start my 2008 camp process I will be on here a lot more.

Hope everyone is well.

Bring on camp 2008 is what I say!

Glad that things are going well with your girl friend - all these trips to the USA you are gonna need that job - good luck finding one!

I can't wait for the application process to start moving ahead - all my CA stuff is done - I am just waiting for camp to start recruting which wont be until Feb - which sucks cos it means I will have to pay an extra £200 to CA but never mind it is worth it to go to camp!
