Then we're looking for you! Camp Favorite, located on Long Pond in Brewster, MA and Camp Wabasso, located on Lake Blaisdell in Bradford, NH are looking for energetic, enthusiastic staff for Summer 2006.

Camp Favorite is 65 acres in a pine forest located in lower Cape Cod (about 40 minutes onto the Cape once you cross the Cape Cod Canal) has up to 140 campers each session. Favorite offers a strong sailing program for girls enter 5th grade and up, but also has general camping, outdoor skills, theater, windsurfing and biking. Camp Wabasso is 266 acres located in Bradford, NH. Wabasso is known for it's horse programs - riding programs cover a range of levels and ages. Wabasso also has theater, strong arts and crafts programs, outdoor skills, and more. Staff with any of these programming skills are needed. Campers (and staff!) live in platform tents or cabin units, based on their program and age. Campers range from 2nd through 12th grade.

At both camps:

Sessions are one or two weeks in length.
Meals are served family style in the dining hall.
Staff recieve time off each day and have access to the Internet.

We're actively hiring at ALL of our camp right now. :) So I promised to bump this up anywhere we might get highly qualified staff - and of course, that was here!

I know our camp is looking for 20-25 more people including a Waterfront Director, Assistant Camp Director, and Windsurfing Instructor...

Hello Flukie,

I Have got a place at Camp Wabasso (woooo!), through Camp America. I was wondering if you could give me a little information about the camp. Like how many people work there, what campower jobs entail, what type of people work there (age, nationality, etc). I would be grateful if you could tell me some of these things, cheers. I AM SO EXCITED!

Wabasso staff is about 35, most likely. That's the size of Favorite's staff, and we're very similar in program size. You'll have a blast - just be prepared for lots and lots of girls. Lol. And the little ones will look at you and sigh dreamily on occasion. Our poor one guy last summer - he just looked at all of us at one point and groaned, saying "There are just WAY to many girls here!" Lol. We're getting another male this summer from Campower - and he says he'll be fine, he has lots of sisters. Lol.

Are you working Maintence or Kitchen? Maintence spends a lot of time heading to the units to help with repairs, fix toliets, help fix tents, get things straightened up and in working order. You'd work with Brooke, the director, and John, the site manager, to help keep things working and running smoothly. Kitchen staff help with all the prep for the meals, doing the dishes, helping the girls get the food (they serve and bus the tables), and putting out snack. Both are really important jobs - without these staff, we wouldn't function as a camp!

You are going to have a blast! It really is a lot of fun.

Sounds quality I really can't wait. Hate to be awkward, but I just want to know loads about it!! Are there any football pitches (in american = soccer) at Wabasso, and is there a TV room to watch the world cup? I know its going to be England's year this year. Sorry about this its just that I really HAVE to see England play. Lol, cheers.

Lol. Wabasso has some very large fields, so you can no doubt find somewhere to play. I'm not sure what their staff lodge is like - they most likely have a TV, but whether it has actual reception, I have no idea. We defintiely don't have reception at our camp! We do a lot of DVDs... But I'm sure Brooke or John would be happy at the minimum to help keep you updated on scores.
