How is your summer?

I know we have a lot of staff away at camp, but how is day camp going for all of you? Good and bad points of the summer? I hope we are all doing great!

Camp just finished for me last night. This was our first year in a smaller community so we only ran 4 weeks. For our first year, I think it went really well, and I've already had parents asking about sessions for next year... so that's a good sign. I'm a bit brain dead at the moment, but once I recover a little I'm going to start thinking about improvements/changes for next year.

So far camp is going well...we have a longer summer here due to a new state law about school start dates, so we're working with an additional 2 weeks! This is my first year with the program I'm at now, so there was the usual confusion at the start of the summer as I got used to their traditions and they got used to the changes I made in the program, but everything has worked out well. We have done a few things that they hadn't seen before, and a few that I hadn't seen before, so it has been a great summer!

We also have the extra two weeks. It's looking like it's going to change next year!

Oh my goodness this summer was absolutely amazing!! We usually have a few staff members not able tough it out and quit or get fired, but this year we finished the summer with the exact same staff we started with. It was a small staff but everyone worked incredibly well together and even managed to stay away from the usual drama that surrounds an all girls camp! I miss them so much!

Last summer? We had a lot of fun... Because we went to tarragona spain beaches (http://tarragonaguide.com/1771beaches.asp). That was really amazing guys!!! That was really awesome.
