Hi. I 've managed to find a place with the internet and I'm on my day off so I thought I'd check in. So I've been at camp for a bout a week and 1/2. So far it's been okay. I spent 7 hours on a plane to New York and had a day in New York City. I then had an 18 hour greyhound bus journey to camp.
The kids arrived about a week ago and it's been good. I've been homesick but with them being there it's kept me occupied.I am now a rotatating counselor instead of a cabin counselor as they overstaffed. I don't mind as it means I meet more kids, I live in the staff cabin and eat at the staff table.
So far I've enjoyed it. The camp food isn't the best but I don't really care. I really enjoying archery, tubing and zipline. Things I used to hate. Hopefully all you first timers enjoy it as much as I am and let's talk at the end of the summer.
