Hi everyone,

Along with being CIT director I'm also a riding instructor. I've taught many private lessons in the past but I feel my biggest challenges will be dealing with group lessons of about 7 girls, keeping things interesting and not getting burnt out. I'll be teaching an average of 4 hrs a day plus barn classes, clean barn, feed barn, and my CIT directing hour. If anyone has ANY suggestions regarding anything I've mentioned that would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!!
Cara

The way we used to keep things interesting is once the girls got used to the horses and knew the basics (steering, walking, maybe a little trotting) then we allowd them to make up their own "drill" pattern. They would practice this for the rest of the week, and at the end of the week they put on a show of it for their parents. It was fun because they got to have a hand in making upp their performance, so they really got into it
