LIT program!!!!!

Things seem to be picking up here so Im going to hope some of you have some ideas and input to share with me!

Im going back to the same camp that Ive been working at for 3 yrs...this will be my fourth...and this will also be the 1st time Im working with children over the age of 5...Ive always had the youngest cabin...dare I say, Ive created a funk for myself...

This summer Ive been given the job of being one of 2 LIT leaders...this program is special because the kids are mostly around 13 yrs old...still campers but with special priviledges...its a NEW program to our camp, its 1st year was last yr and it went pretty well!!
Now, the director and exec director have asked me to come up with program ideas, project ideas, worksheets, activities, suggestions....do's and don't etc etc for these "Leaders in Training"...

Since Ive never worked with kids this age in a camp setting (I have however been working with older girls in Girl Guides my whole life...but the kids at my camp are very different than the girl guides I worked with)and I am looking for everyones input!...however little it may be, I wana hear it...stories, ideas, advice...dish it out and let me pick ur brains!!

Here;s a link to an earlier topic on CIT/LIT that you might find helpful. Use that Girl Guide leadership experience that you have been using with the girls...the leadership principles should be pretty standard. You may need to adapt them to meet the needs of your group.
